The team at Smiledent have been working hard during the closure to put measures in place to keep you and the staff as safe as possible during your future visit to the practice. We would like to take this opportunity to explain the changes we have made.

We will be resuming dental services in a phased approach as per the current guidance. We will be addressing emergencies and the needs of the vulnerable in the first phase after reopening. We will not be taking any walk-in enquiries or appointments, so please kindly phone or email us if you wish to contact us.

The new patient journey will involve an initial COVID screening questionnaire followed by a telephone call from the dentist to assess your needs. An appointment will be made thereafter if required.

You are requested to come to your appointment on time and wait outside the practice and announce your arrival either by phoning us or using the intercom system. Please wear a face-mask whenever possible and attend without any family members or friends unless accompanying a child or a vulnerable adult.

A member of staff will collect you from the surgery door and take you to our sanitization station. Your temperature will be taken and hand gel will be offered to you. We have taken away all magazines, information leaflets and toys from the reception and surgery areas to allow for an easily cleansable environment.

You will then be guided into the surgery where your dental team will assess and carry treatment as necessary with full PPE. All paperwork shall then be completed and you shall be asked to again sanitise your hands and be guided out of the clinic.

We would like you to support us on this journey by using contactless forms of payment whenever possible.
